We will help you achieve total well-being by teaching you how to make lasting behavioral changes. Through a variety of lectures and workshops by our team of experts, you’ll learn how to set goals, the importance of preventing illness through lifestyle choices, and healthy ways to change your life. Nutrition Education

Three delicious and healthy meals are prepared daily during your stay and eaten in the Cookery, a private dining room and demonstration kitchen. To help you lose weight, fat and calorie contents are carefully monitored by Kathy Duran-Thal, the program’s registered and licensed dietitian. Participants with food preferences or allergies are easily accommodated. Since 1970, thousands of individuals have come to Cooper Aerobics Center with the goal of improving their health and taking control of their life. This high-touch behavior modification program gives you proven tools to integrate into your lifestyle once you’re back at home. Topics and activities include:

  • Preparing healthy meals at home

  • Culinary demonstrations

Physical Activity

We make sure you are moving each day during your Cooper Wellness experience. You will enjoy a wide variety of group classes and receive one-on-one training sessions, as well as have access to the award-winning Cooper Fitness Center. Take a walk on the one-mile outdoor track, play tennis, swim in one of two heated pools, bask in the whirlpool or sauna, or join a yoga, Pilates, or indoor cycling class. Program topics and activities include:

  • Functional fitness assessment
  • Exercise for weight loss

  • Diversified exercise classes
  • How to avoid injuries
  • Fitness walking
